The Queues Page
Previous Top Next

Take note of the resizeable nature of the list boxes on the Queues page. You can click and drag the dividers between the three sections or you can just click on one of the three words "Requested" "Waiting" and "Completed" on the right hand side of the dialog to maximize that section.

The Queues Page is the busiest and most complex part of Autoget, but once you get used to it you'll find it's quite easy to use. The page is divided into three list boxes each with it's associated buttons:

Requested Files: The top listbox contains all files that are currently Downloading, Buffered, Requested, Queued or Incomplete. This is where all the action is going to be taking place. As files are requested they move up to this listbox and once they finish downloading they go to the Completed Section. There are many commands available for this section:
· Check Que: This will send a @nick-que message to the appropriate channel. For OmeNServE and SDFind servers, the response to this query is very specific and you'll know exactly what files are in what que position. Since the response is so clear, the files listed as queued for the server being queried are temporarily placed in the waiting section. Then, as the response slowly comes in, they will be moved back to the Requested section with their update que information.
·For SpR Jukebox servers, the response to this query is very general, telling you only that you are in fact in their queue at some position but giving no file names or the number of files actually in queue. For this reason, when querying SpR servers, all queued files will remain in the requested section as long as the server says that you are still in its que. The exact files and positions you won't really know, all that will show in Autoget is the initial position. There's not really a whole lot I can think to do about this.
·For all servers, if a negative response is received, i.e. that no files are in queue, then Autoget will immediately request a file to start the queueing process up again.
· Remove From Que: This will send a @nick-remove message to the appropriate channel and place all files from the selected nick back in the waiting list.
· Requeue: This will send a @nick-remove message to the appropriate channel and then proceed to requeue everything from the selected nick from scratch. This is for when things get crazy and you just want to start over from zero so you know what is going on.

Waiting Files: Files in this section are simply waiting to be requested. To get the requesting/queueing process started for a person you have to first request a song from them manually. Once you get it started Autoget will take over from there. While files are waiting you can change paths/nicks and perform the rest of the commands available throughout the program. (Stats, Whois etc) New in version 7.20, if you have the option enabled, you can change the order of the files in your waiting list to control the order the files get downloaded in.

Completed Files: Files in this section are done downloading and are waiting to either be moved or to simply have their line deleted from Autoget.

Move Completed: Explained here.

Other Commands:
The following commands are available in all sections of the queues page in addition to the standard commands:
· Nick Change: Explained here.
· Move To: Explained here.
· Delete Line(s): Pretty self explanatory, deletes the selected lines no questions asked.
