Autoget says the person if offline but when I whois them it says they are online?

First, check that you have the channel added to your channel list. If you're in strict mode this is a necessity. Autoget can only work with people who are in channels with you. It won't automatically join channels to get to servers, which may sound like a good idea but I think it would be too obtrusive. So just whois the person, find out what channel they are in and join it. The short answer here is just to simply turn off strict mode.

Where did the Completed Files Go!?

It's on the transfers page. Gives you a lot more room to look at stuff that way.

Autoget crashes my computer!

I have spent a significant amount of time tracking down some crashing issues and at this point I believe we have them resolved for the most part. If you experience crashes utilize the settings listed below.

· Set the local list search method to "Autoget 6.1 Style".
· Sometimes simply raising the tolerance for the Autoget 7 style search can fix any problems.
· If you are also using OmeNServE, turn off "Fast @find" on the second page of the OmeNServE options.
· If you still experience crashes you can try installing the enclosed compatibility mode, but this is a last resort only. Your experience with the compatibility mode may vary. Some people have had serious problems with it, other people have installed it and had it fix all thier problems instantaneously.

How do I get rid of all of these CTCP MP3 things I see in channels?

On the second tab of the Autoget configuration, check the box next to "halt incoming ctcp mp3 data".

The Internal List Viewer makes my computer run really slow...

This is a limitation of mIRC and the way it fills list windows and list boxes in dialogs. There is nothing I can do to speed this up. That's why I strongly recommend using notepad for your viewer.

Autoget says that a person is "Servers Only" but I'm serving?

This is a very common problem, the answer is simple, you have to understand how the process of being recognized as a server works. First off, you have to be serving in the channel of the person you are trying to download from. Once you get your server set up and your advertisements are being sent to the channel, someone in the channel should notice this and voice you (you know that little + next to your nickname). When you get voiced you are now recognized as a server. Realize that delays happen in this process and if you didn't set up your server to advertise to the appropriate channels or noone in that channel is voicing you then you'll still get servers only error messages.
All you can really do here is either wait, or message an active op in the channel for some help.

Why did you separate the Queues page into three different lists, this is very confusing?

The answer here is simple, SPEED. Autoget sorts these lists according to the persons nickname as well as the status of the file. In the top list files can be in a number of states, so a special little program has to be used to sort them properly which takes a lot of time in comparison to just a straight alphabetical sort. The waiting and completed sections on the other hand are sorted only by nickname so they can be refreshed much much faster. Since the waiting and completed section is where the majority of your files will be the refreshing process is much faster since only the files in the requested section will be subject to that slower sorting method. I did a little benchmarking when I was implementing the three separate lists (initially they were all in one list) and I found that doing it with the lists separated is more than 10 times faster. And that was with 500 files total, if I had used 1000 total files the speed improvement would have been even more dramatic. Trust me, this is the only way to do business.
